How many1

No set pack size. A new colony usually does better with several animals than with one.

Habitat

Powder Blue is Porcellionides pruinosus. They are small, fast, and tolerant, but they desiccate if the whole bin dries. Use a moisture gradient, lots of leaf litter, and more ventilation than a Cubaris cup. They run when the lid opens.

Diet

They shred leaves and will take protein and vegetable readily. Calcium stays available. Because they are quick, overfeeding molds before you notice it is gone.

Breeding

One of the faster commonly kept isopods when conditions are decent. A surface count is a low estimate. No brood number is filed.

A good fit

A classic first colony and a cleanup crew for many bioactive tanks that are not extremely dry. Not a display animal you will pose for photos.
